I brought my Honda Civic there for new transmission fluid, coolant, and brake fluid. The quote was $80 cheaper than anyone else I called. Then, after they were done, they took another $30 off, as they had used less fluid than anticipated. And Eric was very familiar with Hondas. And we had a nice conversation about the transmission fluid (Honda is particular about the fluid used, which some of the shops I called didn’t seem to know or care about). So, highly recommended. My car was not holding a charge. I was told by AAA that it was not the battery. After spending two days without a car and charging it I decided to take it to Gulfport Garage. They are the BEST! It did need a new battery. Took the car in at 9:30 and at 11:30 all fixed. I highly recommend them!

So, this is to thank the owner Eric and his employees a million times over for fixing our car on our last day of vacation in Gulfport, FL. The car had started acting funny a few days prior and on that last day we said ‘we better bring it somewhere to be checked out’ before heading the 500 miles plus home. Going by the great reviews on search engines we entrusted ourselves to Gulfport Garage. This is not an easy thing to do when you don’t have a clue about anything in the area. Well, needless to say they were fully booked for that day and despite this they took a look at our car, diagnosed the problem as needing a new serpentine belt and in less than two hours we picked the car back up. This was a pleasant surprise to have it done so quickly, being our last day rather than waiting around all day for the repair we were able to make another trip back to the areas beautiful beach! Wow incredible is an understatement. This guy Eric runs such an honest operation the Pope should be asking him how to do things. Stopped in unannounced with a water leak early on a Friday morning. 1 hour later on back on the road with a $7.50 part. Way past honest as you can never get in/out from a mechanic for under $100 ! If you are in St. Pete and stuck with auto repairs give these guys a call..they will do you right.

After my last tuneup at the dealer the car started consuming a lot more gas and I was getting about 100 fewer miles every tank full. I complained to the dealer and was told “that’s what the computer said”. When I took the problem to the Gulfport Garage I was told the idle had probably been set too high by the computer because of a dirty idler. I’d never heard of an idler but I went ahead and left my car. I once again am getting 19 mpg in town and 28 mpg on highway with my Buick LeSabre. Pretty good for a 14 year old car!

Discovered a bad oil leak under the turbo charger of my 2006 VW Passat while at Jiffylube. The manager recommended I go to the VW dealer but I was dubious of their reputation. I took it to Gulfport Garage on a recommendation by a friend. The owner Eric and his team replaced the valve cover gasket and a few other minor hoses for hundreds less than I expected it to cost. GG is my new repair shop.
